Hoax and Chains

Please allow me to introduce you to the biggest hoax on earth: the BE party.
BE (Bloco de Esquerda [transl: The Left Block]) is a Portuguese far-left party that sugar coats its radical views in order to allure the youth and the discontent to its deceiving web.
Let’s take a quick look at the BE’s soul, so you can have an idea of what I mean:

"Definition and Goals
1- The Left Block is a political movement, constituted by female and male citizens, that assumes the legal form of a political party.
2- The Left Block, also referred as a Movement, is inspired by the convergent contributions made by citizens, powers and movements that, through the many years, have committed themselves to the intransigent defence of freedom, and to the search for alternatives to capitalism. It believes in a world ecologically sustainable. It fights against all forms of exclusion, based on discriminations rooted on ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, opinion or condition.
3- The Left Block defends and promotes a culture of civic participation and of democratic political action, as a guarantee to social transformation; and it also defends and promotes a perspective of socialism as an expression of the emancipationist fight of Humanity against exploitation and oppression." BE, translation by Max Coutinho).

Comment

1- Why the need to emphasize “female and male citizens”? By “citizens” it is understood “female and male”. The left has this need to show how much it cares for women: what a hoax. We all know that when the time comes to choose a leader, what gender they choose to lead.

2- “Intransigent defence of freedom”: hoax. BE’s heroes are Stalin and Leonine…need I say more?
“The search for alternatives to capitalism”: hoax. The only alternative to capitalism is Ethical Capitalism; would the far-left be willing to comprehend and accept this economic system? Or is their vision of an alternative the failed Stalinist economic model “Produce only, for consumption is bourgeois” ?

3- “A guarantee to social transformation”: hoax. BE’s notion of social transformation is to subdue all the rich, take all their possessions, nationalise all business and distribute the proceeds by the poor. It seems to me that this party suffers from the Robin Hood Syndrome.
They speak of fighting oppression, but they wish to oppress the rich (and in the future; their political enemies for sure – the past has taught us well).

People fall for hoaxes and then…when chained they shed bitter tears.

And now, for a different experience, I invite to jump over to LS' realm: Here.

The Animal Soul

“And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that eats any manner of blood, I will set My face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood (…) for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.” (Leviticus 17:10-11)

God clearly states that the blood bears the soul (life) of animals, but why would He care so much about it? What kind of souls are we talking about here?

[Pause for thought: I wonder why the Catholic Church taught people, for so many years, that animals had no soul. Why would it contradict the Lord?]

God’s concern (about the animal soul) could be an indication that this type of soul is at the same level as the human soul.

Human souls are of Angels
Humans and animals have souls
Therefore animal souls are of Angels.

But what kind of Angel would accept to incarnate an animal?
This question takes us to Buddhism and Hinduism.
These two spiritual paths defend that animals are the reincarnation of people who, in a previous life, committed heinous crimes thus acquiring bad karma.

God says the blood of animals atones the soul “by reason of the life”. He is referring to atoning our soul, which could mean that sacrificed animals revert their bad karma by cleansing us from ours sins (i.e. by being put to death, they’d be performing a good deed for once); however God could also be referring to atoning their own souls which, in turn, could mean that criminals incarnating animals burn off their dreadful karma by being slaughtered themselves.

Could God, in Leviticus 17, be telling us that Buddhists and Hindus are right?

No Stress...

I shall be quite direct and quick…

The Portuguese parliament approved the same-sex marriages. The President is more likely to veto the bill, since it may be unconstitutional to label this type of unions as “marriage” (in summa, it is a question of semantics: instead of “marriage” we might end up with “civil union”).

This subject has sparked a lot of controversy (especially among the Catholics) but it seems to have vanished before the innumerable business opportunities that this bill may generate.

The Portuguese jewellery industry is producing same-sex wedding rings.
I didn’t know that there were heterosexual wedding bands, let alone homosexual ones – shocking.
But what really appals me is that the gay community (that shouts at the four corners of the world how discriminated they are) seems more than willing to embark in this most dreadful form of discrimination.
They want to be considered equal before society, yet they want to segregate themselves from it (Selah).

What will be next, special same-sex flats; special neighbourhoods for same-sex couples?
Perhaps the car industry will soon manufacture cars for gay families as well (since same-sex couples may not feel comfortable enough to drive “heterosexual vehicles” – who knows?).

This type of concept is not only ridiculous but mainly dangerous; however people never think of it when before the prospect of making a profit.

A new form of discrimination is on the rise…should we allow it?

2010!!!

A brand new Year, a brand new cycle in the wheel of life!
May 2010 bring what you need.

I am still celebrating, and thanking God for, the beginning of a new stage in my life; therefore I will be back to the blogosphere in 2 weeks time (meanwhile have plenty of intellectual rest, because upon my return...more MAX Adventure).

Meanwhile, have fun and dance to the sound of the video below (by the Brazilian artist, Daniela Mercury, singing "Pérola Negra" [Black Pearl]):

Lyrics

Pérola Negra

O canto do negro veio lá do alto
É belo como a íris dos olhos de Deus, de Deus
E no repique, no batuque, no choque do aço
Eu quero penetrar no laço afro que é meu, e seu
Vem cantar meu povo, vem cantar você

Ilê a yê, pérola negra
Pérola negra ilê a yê, ilê a yê
Minha pérola negra (bis)

Lá vem a negra que faz o astral da avenida...
Com sutileza cantando e encantando a nação
Batendo bem forte cada coração
Fazendo subir a minha adrenalina

Como dizia Buziga
É de mim
Em me pé nagô de ilê
É de mim
Em me pé nagô de ilê a yê
Ilê a yê, pérola negra...

............

Black Pearl

The chant of the black came from above
It is as beautiful as the iris of God's eyes
And in the "repique", in the "batuque", in the vibes of steel
I want to penetrate the African bond which is mine and yours
Come and sing, my people,
come and sing and stomp your feet, younth

And say it is because of ilê a yê

There it comes the black folks that bring joy to the avenue
It is so beautiful, that when they pass by they make me want to cry (bis)
You are the most beautiful of them all, you bring peace and wealth,
Your glow is so bright and for that I call you black pearl (bis)
Ilê a yê, black pearl
Black pearl ilê a yê, ilê a yê
My black pearl (bis)

There it comes the black folks that bring joy to the avenue,
Chanting and enchanting the nation with subtlety
Causing each heart to beat hard
Making my adrenaline go high

Just like Buziga used to say:
It's from me,
Em me pé nagô de ilê
It's from me
Em me pé nagô de ilê a yê
Ilê a yê, Black pearl...
