Above all: Humans

Feminism...Sexism...War of gender...Men Vs Women…Women Vs Men…how tiresome!

I, as a human being, have grown tired of all this war of genders. I just can’t stand the sound of it, or the same old arguments that support it, anymore.

Now, do not get me wrong…those who know me have had the time to realise that, as a Pro-femina (a defender of women’s integrity), I appreciate the wonderful job executed by the suffragists, and the classic feminists, that allowed us (women) to vote, to voice our opinion, to fight for our rights, to be seen as intellectually equal, to participate in the affairs of the state...etc.
However I have a serious issue with the contemporary feminists.

Looking at the world today, there is a daunting image that keeps popping-out: war has been declared on men.
Notwithstanding, the same women that declared war on males are exactly the ones that find themselves powerless, helpless and sometimes submissive (even though not consciously) when before their male counterparts.
I wonder if these pseudo-amazons realise how futile their efforts are...

Both men and women have within themselves both the female and male energies; but usually when one is a man the male energy prevails and, when one is a woman the female energy is the prevalent one. And this is why when united they complement each other.
And if we start thinking about the theory of reincarnation, we come to see how pointless the gender war is: in this life you may be a man, but in the next you may come as a woman (and vice-versa). Meaning that in one life you are fighting against either what you were or what you will be.
God created us to His image; which signifies that He IS made of both male and female energies. Could it be valid to think that when humans fight because of their gender, they are fighting the Creator? Well, I don’t know; but I do know that when humans disrespect other humans, due to their gender (for example); this is the same as disrespecting God.

The day that men and women start looking at each other beyond a phallus and a kteis; the day we begin to respect each other as the human beings that we are (regardless the earthly connotations of having a penis or a vagina) perhaps we shall be able to focus on more serious issues.

  1. I agree that "the day we begin to respect each other as the human beings that we are ... we shall be able to focus on more serious issues." I think the same can be said for reaching past barriers of race, religion, financial status, etc. I really want to see that day.

  2. While I don't believe in reincarnation, I do agree that when we fight against the other gender, we are in a sense fighting against the creator. He made us male and female. He made us to complement each other.

I think the biggest problem with any kind of bias or predjudice is ignorance. When people are predjudice against a race, it is usually because they do not understand the culture. When they are predjudice against a gender, it is because they really do not understand that gender.

The dilemna comes in trying to find a way to help each other understand. I'm not sure that either gender can fully understand the other. As much as I try to explain the mind of women to my husband, he never quite gets it. And I know that I have only scratched the surface in understanding men. But despite the differences between us, I enjoy the compatability. :)

  3. MAX:

I am with you one hundred percent on this one. Male bashing has to stop. By the way, I hate that phrase, but I didn't know of any other way to put it.

It seems to me that the radical feminists want to dictate how women will be and how they will behave. If you don't fit their mold, than you are weak and a sell out to male dominance. Hogwash.

My wife is beautiful, intelligent, and one of the most wonderful women on this planet. She worked for several years, but she stayed home to raise the children. She loves the kids and those were some of the happiest years of her life. But we heard a feminist on television say disparaging things about housewives as if something is wrong with the desire to me a mom and a wife, or, for that matter, for being attractive. They even push the agenda that single parenthood is just as good as a two parent family. Hogwash again.

I have a million complaints about this whole gender war issue, but there just isn't time in a blog post to get into them. However, I will say this: Gender war sounds like there are two parties to the conflict - I only see one party calling the other names. What kind of a war is that?

In closing: I say long live beautiful, sensuous, intelligent, graceful strong, wonderful women. I will always be there to open your door, to pull your chair out, to defend your honor, and to be a committed lifetime partner.

You always post interesting articles that make us all think. Good job.

    Happy trails.

  6. Another thought provoking post max.

In my world, and I like to call it ...Bob Land... I don't see females and males I see different spiritual entities, in "Bob Land" everyone is equal so I haven't notice the battles as much as I probably should, ignorance is bliss, actually more of a self imposed ignorance, I guess it's how I cope with life to some degree. Also being a male I probably haven't run into the problems with the system as a female person would have.

I don't agree with reincarnation, unless of course I used to be a bug in a previous life, then I'm good to go on it.

Very interesting post again I love how you point out that we have both the female and male energies in all of us, maybe that's what happens, when one wins over us, we try to block out the one we figure we shouldn't have, there fore we never truly understand or get it.

  7. Max,

You have a great way of getting right to the meat of an issue. This is one of those times that I cannot find anything to disagree with you on, and believe me, I looked.

I just have a point of "clarification:' I do not believe that we can can ever "start looking at each other beyond a phallus and a kteis; the day we begin to respect each other as the human beings that we are (regardless the earthly connotations of having a penis or a vagina) perhaps we shall be able to focus on more serious issues." This is part of our core and it will always be there. In your own words "Both men and women have within themselves both the female and male energies; but usually when one is a man the male energy prevails and, when one is a woman the female energy is the prevalent one. And this is why when united they complement each other", maybe it should be "complete" each other.

We need to be able to see each other in both lights at the same time as the completion of our lesser selves and as a spiritual partner.

Okay, now that I have clarified my position and reread it, I am saying exactly what you, much more eloquently, have already stated.

So the clarification was more for me, than for you. I find that I have restate in order to better understand.

  9. Hey D!

"He made us male and female. He made us to complement each other." - Amen to that!

"When they are predjudice against a gender, it is because they really do not understand that gender." - you may very well be right! I must see it through that angle!

I think that if we put enough effort onto it, it is quite possible to understand both genders; however most do not try enough.
If we are to understand the other gender, we must realise that that person is a soul first, then a human being and then that he/she has a vagina/penis, hormones and all the rest of the details of having a body. Once we achieve this, we will understand each other just fine.

"As much as I try to explain the mind of women to my husband, he never quite gets it. And I know that I have only scratched the surface in understanding men. But despite the differences between us, I enjoy the compatability. :)" - lol I hear you! Thanks for having shared this with us *bowing*!

D, thank you so much for your most valuable input...it is always a true pleasure to have you here :D!

  10. Hey Swu!

"Male bashing has to stop. By the way, I hate that phrase, but I didn't know of any other way to put it." - It must stop indeed!! Nevermind, I get you...

"It seems to me that the radical feminists want to dictate how women will be and how they will behave. If you don't fit their mold, than you are weak and a sell out to male dominance. Hogwash." - I agree with you 100%! Male dominance...was there ever such a thing? I believe there was Male Disrespect, but never dominance...please!

"My wife is beautiful, intelligent, and one of the most wonderful women on this planet." - Ooohhh, that is so sweet...

"She worked for several years, but she stayed home to raise the children. She loves the kids and those were some of the happiest years of her life." - of course! Of course! And she did well, cause kids that have their mom at home are more stable than the others whose moms choose to pursue a career. Now, I also understand that some women must work; but a compromise must be reached for the children's sake.

"But we heard a feminist on television say disparaging things about housewives as if something is wrong with the desire to me a mom and a wife, or, for that matter, for being attractive. They even push the agenda that single parenthood is just as good as a two parent family. Hogwash again." - rubbish! Women have the right to choose to stay at home and take care of their offspring, period! Indeed, feminists have this odd idea that women should look and act like men, and that is utterly out of the question for real women. Single parenthood is a very complicated issue, that I must address one of these days...but I don't think that it is as good as a two parent family, no...never.

"I have a million complaints about this whole gender war issue, but there just isn't time in a blog post to get into them." - I totally hear you!

"However, I will say this: Gender war sounds like there are two parties to the conflict - I only see one party calling the other names. What kind of a war is that?" - LOL LOL I have heard some theories on why only "one party is calling the other names", but it is so energy consuming that I am not even going to bother to disclosing them here.

"In closing: I say long live beautiful, sensuous, intelligent, graceful strong, wonderful women. I will always be there to open your door, to pull your chair out, to defend your honor, and to be a committed lifetime partner." - Hear! Hear! *clap clap clap*

"You always post interesting articles that make us all think. Good job." - why, thank you, Swu *bowing*! :D

And thank you for this most incredible comment! I loved it!! :D

  15. Hey Mel,

"You have a great way of getting right to the meat of an issue. This is one of those times that I cannot find anything to disagree with you on, and believe me, I looked." - LOL LOL oh my...are you sure you looked well? Cause there might be something for you to disagree upon... :)

"I just have a point of "clarification:' I do not believe that we can can ever "start looking at each other beyond a phallus and a kteis; the day we begin to respect each other as the human beings that we are (regardless the earthly connotations of having a penis or a vagina) perhaps we shall be able to focus on more serious issues."" - you don't? You don't think it is possible for us to look at each other as souls first, then human beings and then acknowledge the existence of a penis/vagina, hormones and all the details that comprise having a human body?

"This is part of our core and it will always be there. In your own words "Both men and women have within themselves both the female and male energies; but usually when one is a man the male energy prevails and, when one is a woman the female energy is the prevalent one. And this is why when united they complement each other", maybe it should be "complete" each other." - no, not always humans complete each other; yet they can complement each other in utter perfection. Rare are the cases when couples really complete each other (this is a whole other level, which involves complementing and all other relationship factors); yet there couples who do not love each other and, despite that fact can find themselves complementing themselves, having a level of emotional balance (and practicality) higher than many relationships where love abounds...odd, eh?

"We need to be able to see each other in both lights at the same time as the completion of our lesser selves and as a spiritual partner." - beautifully said, Mel!!

"Okay, now that I have clarified my position and reread it, I am saying exactly what you, much more eloquently, have already stated." - *bowing*...I loved reading your clarification cause it made me think, and it gave me ideas for a future article: thanks :D!

  16. Max,

The more I think about "compliment" Vs. "complete" and the way you state the differences, the more I have to agree with you.

Also, my clarification is more for the "everyday man & woman." I know that we all have the capability to ascend to a "higher" plane of awareness, to allow our spiritual self to rule us rather than our earthly self. (This could definitely be another article for you.) However, we have all been given our 5 senses and sexual urges for a reason. This must be to experience only what "humans" can experience.

Is a spiritual awareness and/or awakening, a higher level of being or just another level of being?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Mel,

"Also, my clarification is more for the "everyday man & woman."" - I hear you...

"I know that we all have the capability to ascend to a "higher" plane of awareness, to allow our spiritual self to rule us rather than our earthly self. (This could definitely be another article for you.)" - (ok, I know I will sound like a Herbal Essences TV ad, but) yes, yes, yes! Well said! LOL Indeed it could...Hmmm...you are giving me a lot of ideas today :D!

"However, we have all been given our 5 senses and sexual urges for a reason. This must be to experience only what "humans" can experience." - now that is what I call an interesting theme...do spirits experience sexual urges, only in a different way (since they don't have a body)? Or is sex just a human thing? Sometimes I think that sex, particularly how sex makes us feel, reminds us of something that is dormant in the back of our subconscience...what do you think? Is sex a submission to body yearnings or is it a reminder or something else?

"Is a spiritual awareness and/or awakening, a higher level of being or just another level of being?" - I would say that it is an even higher level of being, since being human and focusing on earthly matters is already a high level of being (we are here for a purpose, and that purpose per se is high) for it is full of tricks and tests; but being able to be human (and all the things that it represents) and awake spiritually (meaning that life has not hindered us from being connected to the Source of our being) that is something that is even higher, it is special.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Max,
I hate to be so mundane and base, but I believe that the sole purpose for the sexual urge is pro-creation. Without the sexual urge and all the pleasure that comes with it, would we pro-create? All of the higher level of connection and spirituality during sex is what makes us come back for more, and more, and more...........

I think we read to much into sex.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mel,

"I hate to be so mundane and base, but I believe that the sole purpose for the sexual urge is pro-creation." - that is absolutely interesting!

"Without the sexual urge and all the pleasure that comes with it, would we pro-create?" - I think we would pro-create, just like animals do (well, most animals...cause I've heard that dolphins have sexual urges for recreational purposes too).

"All of the higher level of connection and spirituality during sex is what makes us come back for more, and more, and more..........." - LOL LOL I hear you! But then there are those who don't experience the higher level of connection and spirituality during sex (which is sad if you ask me)...*nodding*.

"I think we read to much into sex." - I think we don't; and that is why there is so much bad sex going around *nodding*! A lot of people just don't get it...at all!

  20. Max,
All life that exists today has a built in method of pro-creation, from the amoeba that simply splits itself into two, to all other animals and plants. Animals, I believe have a sexual urge, or just something build into their DNA. Ours is what I previously stated.....all well designed. It does make one feel that "intelligent Design" does have something to do with it.

I believe, the euphoric feeling during sex is all part of this design and is meant to happen... unfortunately, it does not happen enough.

You are making me think of concepts and opinions that I usually do not think of, or even know that I had. THANK YOU for challenging me. It's nice to know that my brain still works.....sort of?!?!

  21. Mel,

"All life that exists today has a built in method of pro-creation, from the amoeba that simply splits itself into two, to all other animals and plants." - true.

"Animals, I believe have a sexual urge, or just something build into their DNA. Ours is what I previously stated.....all well designed. It does make one feel that "intelligent Design" does have something to do with it." - it makes sense. But I tend to think that having a sexual urge goes beyond procreation purposes (what I am trying to say is, animals might have the procreational urge, cause they were designed for that: to multiply; whereas us humans not only we must multiply but we must also have fun...).

"I believe, the euphoric feeling during sex is all part of this design and is meant to happen... unfortunately, it does not happen enough." - I hear you, my friend!

"You are making me think of concepts and opinions that I usually do not think of, or even know that I had. THANK YOU for challenging me. It's nice to know that my brain still works.....sort of?!?!" - :) Mel, Mel...your brain works extremely well...and I am the one to thank you for this challenging conversation, I am learning a lot :D! Ok, before you tell me "this is where you say...": you are welcome lol ;D!

  22. Max,
    You are welcome!!!

The more that I think of this the more I am convinced that it is all part of the "human experience."

I do believe that there is another dimension, for lack of a better word, to our "non-earthly" being, however, we will never, during our time here on earth, know it, understand it or even fathom it. I believe that it is not for us to know.

We will all know it once we leave this earthly plane. That is when we are suppose to know.

I am sounding preachy and I don't mean to be. This is simply my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mel,

    "You are welcome!!!" - *bowing*!

"The more that I think of this the more I am convinced that it is all part of the "human experience."" - it makes sense; but you know me: I love thinking about what is beyond the "Human experience"...

"I do believe that there is another dimension, for lack of a better word, to our "non-earthly" being, however, we will never, during our time here on earth, know it, understand it or even fathom it. I believe that it is not for us to know." - I think some of us know & understand it...those who are supposed to know about these things.

"We will all know it once we leave this earthly plane. That is when we are suppose to know." - I agree that when we leave the earth we will ALL know (as opposed to just a few knowing it).

"I am sounding preachy and I don't mean to be. This is simply my opinion." - Mel, you don't sound preachy; but if even if you did it would be quite all right: I love listening to whatever you have to say *bowing*!
