I have been tagged by Tish (The Kat House) to do this interesting meme: I have to show you my desktop:
This amazing image is Caravaggio's Medusa! I have my own interpretation of this painting: the several snakes represent our constant changing thoughts (among other things, snakes represent change), and the man is screaming cause he is shocked at himself "How can I be so irresolute?!". Medusa ,on my desktop, is a reminder that I can't afford to keep changing my mind!
Here are the meme rules:
Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Here’s how you can do a screen capture:
- Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
- Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image before saving it.
- Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
- Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.
- Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

LOVE your desktop pic and your interpretation of it HE HE HE HE HE...;-D
THANKS for tagging me!!! This is INTERESTING! ;-D
Thank you - great pic on yours! Mine'll follow...
Actually Caravaggio's Medusa creeps me out! It's supposed to be a shield (used by both Athena and Perseus (?)). I loved your interpretation, because I've studied Greek Mythology and it never came to mind that that could be an interpretation for Medusa.
But I like the effect it creates as a desktop. Very clean!
Hugs
Cool! Thanks for adding me to ur list, I've added u to mine too. Have a great day! :):):)
Hey, Max!! When I first saw your desktop, I couldn't help but thinking this is just so you...he he...Don't get me wrong!! I mean in a good way...very unique!! ;P
Hey !! Thanks for adding me !! But my desktop has no pictures !! It's my husband's computer and he's terribly practical. Even the screensaver just says "Windows". Left to me, there would be a big smiley face there. That's what's on my handphone !!
That's a scary desktop, Max! hehe. Thanks for playing along!
Hi Max;
Very intriguing insights into the woman behind the blog…
I did a little search:
“Medusa was said to symbolize the triumph of reason over the senses”
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medusa_(Caravaggio)
I am wondering if you would be interested in commenting on that description.
Do you think the image says something about your sub-conscience?
Thanks for sharing this little bit of yourself, you know how adoring fans want to know everything about celebrities!
Hi Max........
You have again been tagged. You have been tagged.........I think you will like this one. http://mondaymorningpower.blogspot.com/2007/09/i-like-this-seo-tag-your-it.html
Cheers Max.
I had a douro last night and thought of you, even though you don't drink.
Thanks for stopping by to read the news.
I like your desktop.
My work desktop is filled with icons, my home desktop has none. Maybe a sign that I am the opposite at work and at home.
Hmm, never thought of it that way before.
